We will never sell your information, and only share your data with third parties if that is needed to deliver our services.

2.      How do we use your data?

We ask you for certain information, such as your name, email address, birth date, address, and phone number. If you’re a business customer we also ask for your company registration and VAT numbers. We also use it to contact you if, for example, if you need assistance or if we want to notify you about something related to your product.

3.      Security

We take every precaution to keep your data safe. For example, state of the art (AES or better) encryption is applied both for accessing and storing data and all systems are kept up to date.

4.      Newsletter

We may also use your email address to send you a newsletter with details of our latest products, current offers and other news. We only do this if you ask us to. If you change your mind, just click the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of the newsletter. Incidentally, this always applies. We only use your details if you want us to and you can withdraw your permission at any time.

5.      Who do we share your data with?

We only use your details to provide products and services you request. And we only share them with third parties who help us deliver your order, such as distribution centres and delivery services. We don’t share your details with third parties for advertising purposes and we won’t bombard you with advertisements for our products on other websites.

6.      How long do we keep your data?

We are legally required to keep details entered in our accounting and sales systems for a period of seven years. Other than that, we will remove your details from our systems if you want us to. In fact, we strive to ensure that you can do so yourself, simply by hitting “delete”. No cumbersome processes, lengthy phone calls or other barriers to prevent you from doing so.

7.      Questions about your data

In case your details need to be corrected, you can ask us to do this for you. And if you want to view or receive a copy of details we hold on file, we will be happy to oblige. You may also be able to object to the use of your data and restrict the ways in which it is used. We can be contacted at hello@vernepower.com for all data related questions.

8.      Changes

We’re always improving our products and our website. This may mean that we ask you for other data. It may also change the way we use your data. There may also be changes in the law. If so, we will update our privacy policy. So it’s a good idea to check our privacy policy from time to time so you’re always up to date.

Cookie statement

1.      What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are downloaded when you visit a website. When you return to the website later, the website can read these files and ‘recognize’ that you visited earlier, retrieving settings for example, or loading some images from you cache instead of letting you download them again (inproving load times).

2.      How do we use cookies?

Verne Power uses cookies to check in on what’s happening on the website. We have three main reasons for using cookies:

  1. To make sure the website is functioning properly
Our ‘functional cookies’ make sure the website functions properly. These cookies take care of ‘remembering’ your language preferences for example, or storing the contents of your shopping bag, even though you left the website for a while.
  2. We keep an eye on errors and problems
Analytic cookies enable us to monitor for error messages, load times and traffic in general. It enables us to know if, when, where and why something goes wrong. This data is all anonymously collected.
  3. We figure out how we can enhance the website.
By analyzing traffic and clicks, we can optimize navigation and useability. These are the tracking cookies.
3.      Managing cookies

You can manage the cookie settings of your browser to warn you when cookies are downloaded, or even block them completely.  Keep in mind that some functionality might not work properly anymore (like language preferences for example). These are links explaining how to manage cookies for each of the most used browsers.
